Sporting Bears hold annual classic car event in support of the Clowndoctors

It was great to see the Polar Bears – the Scottish contingent of the Sporting Bears and their line up of fantastic classic cars on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile on Saturday.

At what has become an annual event, 13 beautiful motors including a classic Rolls Royce, a Lotus, a Chevrolet, a MG, a Jaguar, a couple of TVR’s and an amazing black Ultima were drawing the crowds and raising lots of money for our Clowndoctor Programme.

Visitors were able to sit inside the cars and take photos in exchange for a donation to Hearts & Minds. Dr D was on hand to encourage the crowds and he explained about the work of the Clowndoctors in hospitals, hospices and schools for learners with complex support needs. It looked like he was having too much fun!

We just heard today the guys raised around £730! Which is amazing.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and donated and thanks to the Polar Bears for taking time to support Hearts & Minds and the Clowndoctors.
