We were thrilled to be the chosen charity partner for IGEM’s annual fundraising golf event at Musselburgh Royal Golf Club last Friday. Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, the day raised the highest total ever achieved through this tournament – a record-breaking result that will help bring joy and connection where it’s needed most.
The funds raised will directly support our work with children in hospitals, hospices, and ASN schools, as well as with older people living with dementia – helping us to ease stress, reduce loneliness, and brighten lives through Clowndoctor and Elderflower visits.
Joanne Brown, our Head of Development, said: “It was fast-paced, great fun and such a pleasure to be part of the day – though I did have to speed-learn my golfing lingo! We’re so grateful to everyone who took part and to IGEM for their generosity.”
We look forward to building on this fantastic partnership with the Scottish section of the Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers, in the years ahead.
Take a look at the gallery of golfers - they rocked those red noses on Hole 14!
Our Clowndoctor and Elderflower Programmes are only made possible by the support of organisations like IGEM. We do not receive any core funding and all money raised through corporate giving, events and partnerships goes directly into the Programmes.
